Human Design (HD) is a spiritual tool that looks at a variety of spiritual traditions and modalities, including the positioning of the planets when you were born to create a map of your body and how energy flows within it (aka your ‘BodyGraph’)
HD is not like an enneagram or personality test that tries to sort or categorize you into a tidy box – EVERY soul is unique, and HD reflects that.
Your HD Bodygraph is like a map of your soul that shows you how you energetically function, how to make decisions best, how you’ll learn best, how you will most effectively have your message heard, the greater themes you’re going to face in life, and the greater role you’re designed to embody in the collective.
Think of this as your map to the trove of treasures deep within your soul: your gifts and how you’re designed to share them with the world.

Human Design Helps You Remember WHO YOU ARE
… which is extremely beneficial to your happiness, sense of purpose and confidence in embodying who you genuinely are rather than trying to fit yourself into a box or who you think you should be.
For many of us, learning about our human design feels like a permission slip to be who we were always meant to be and surrender the other aspects of what we think we should be or do, in turn greatly benefiting our lives + relationships.
How? Here are just 3 of the ways human design benefits your life + relationships.
#1: You Understand How YOU Function Energetically
Your human design type tells you how you’re designed to function energetically with the rest of the collective and the greater roles you’re designed to play and support others with.
There are 4 energy types and 1 subtype in the Human Design ‘kingdom’:
- Manifestor = the great ideators meant to create big-picture visions for society
- Generator = the busy bee builders of society
- Projector = guides of society
- Reflector = the mirrors back to society
And the one subtype = Manifesting Generator = multi-passionate creators of society
When you understand the great role you’re meant to play in the collective and how you’re specifically designed to function energetically, you will experience more flow and ease in your life + relationships.
Taking it a step further, learning about the types of your nearest and dearest allows you to interact in ways that better suit one another, respecting each others’ nuances and differences.
#2: You Learn How To Interact With Others To Limit Resistance
When you embrace your strategy and authority in human design, you are also embracing how you specifically are designed to interact with others or share your knowledge and how to limit resistance.
This extremely benefits our relationships as we understand who we are and when and how we’re meant to support others.
For example, as an emotional projector, I’m designed to wait for the invitation to share my knowledge with others before doing so. You would have no idea how much that knowing this has benefitted me and my relationships. I’m no longer burning myself out for people who aren’t open, receptive, and willing to hear my wisdom, and instead, I’m reserving it for those who are ready and open to it! You would not believe how beneficial this has been also to my relationships. Us projectors have what is called a ‘penetrating aura’ that can usually see others better than others see themselves. You can see how this type of insight and knowledge would be offputting to many people if you share it without being invited to do so!
Taking it a step further, when you know about the type, strategy and authority of your nearest and dearest loved ones, you understand them much more and are able to properly support them throughout life! For example, if you’re a parent, knowing your individual children’s designs allows you to tailor your parenting intervention and styles to the uniqueness of each child and how they specifically function. Similarly, in a romantic relationship or partnership!
#3: You Feel More Confident in Who You Are + Your Gifts
Which allows you to attract more of your people into your life. When you feel a deep sense of clarity in who you are and the gifts you offer the world, you form deeper, more enriched relationships with others.
When you’re pursuing what lights you up inside, you light up the world and allow your people to find you.
