This is a post I’ve wanted to write for a while, so I’m really excited to be sitting down today writing this for you. Healing crystals are a mindset tool that I started using over the past couple of years, and let me tell you; I absolutely love crystals. Not only are they beautiful and intentional to collect, but they can also actually be used for raising vibrations, calming anxiety, and other metaphysical properties.
While I have lots of crystals around the house, these are the ones that I use and keep in my office and studio space as a creative copywriter and mindset coach.
1. Black Tourmaline
My vibe protector. Black tourmaline is a stone that helps to ground and protect my energy and support my root (or first) chakra. I often keep a black tourmaline pendant around my neck when I know I will be speaking to many people or dealing with external influence. It ensures I protect my own energy and vibes.
Other benefits of tourmaline from a metaphysical perspective include helping work through negative thoughts, cleansing your aura, releasing anger and unworthiness.
2. Amethyst
My creative explorer. Amethyst may be my all-time favourite crystal because it has so many beautiful properties and uses. I use an Amethyst point to connect to my inner wisdom by placing it on my third eye chakra. Amethyst helps spur on feelings of creativity while again protecting energy.
Amethyst is incredibly calming, and helps soothe irritability, balance moods, alleviate sadness, and release negativity. It’s also said that Amethyst is a pathway for spiritual awareness and intuition.
3. Selenite
My palette cleanser. I use a selenite wand to cut the cord between me and other energies I’ve absorbed throughout the day, but also to cleanse my space and mind between 1:1 client coaching sessions. As a mindset coach, sometimes the work we get into during our sessions can be emotionally heavy, and this helps me protect my mindset and space so I can gorgeously hold space for my clients.
Selenite is known for opening our crown chakra, our gateway to higher intuition and awareness.
The really, really cool thing about selenite is that it actually cleanses and charges the other crystals around it!
4. Howlite
My study buddy. I love keeping a chunk of howlite on my desk because it allows me to focus on building my knowledge and helps me focus on my studies. I am constantly studying and improving my craft, so howlite is a must in my space!
Howlite is a calming stone, helps to calm the overactive mind, and encourages patience in dealing with stress.
5. Aragonite
My worry stone. It may be because of the tactile nature of Aragonite, but this is my go-to crystal when I am anxious. After a few moments of holding and connecting with this crystal, I feel my worries wash away.
Aragonite is a powerful, fiery crystal for your root chakra. It increases energy, boosts self-confidence and self-trust and helps in navigating difficult relationships.
6. Citrine
My good vibes. Citrine is a sunny kind of stone that radiates joy and happiness. Citrine is a beautiful stone to connect with and play with your inner child; a major part of the mindset work I love doing!
Citrine is associated with the solar plexus chakra, allowing connection with our personal power and increases self-confidence.
7. Rose Quartz
My loving reminder. Rose quartz connects us to our heart chakra and a reconnection to love. So many of us live our lives constantly connected to fear, when in fact, at any moment, we can choose love (towards ourselves too!). Rose quartz helps me remember this.
8. Jade
My good luck. Jade is commonly associated with wealth and abundance, so that’s a must in my creative office!
Jade is also connected with our heart chakra and has a soothing effect.
