For many of us, when we find ourselves stuck in confusion, feeling lost and unsure of what to do next, it’s actually our nervous system signalling that it’s overloaded. What if rest is something you don’t actually have to ‘earn’? For many of us, we feel we have to reach clarity so we can rest, when in reality, we have it completely flipped. The rest is actually a strategic prerequisite for clarity. CLARITY COMES AFTER REST. If you’ve been stuck, cycling through thoughts like “What am I supposed to do next?” this post is for you.
When we believe we must force clarity and ‘reach’ it before we can rest, we fall into the trap of overthinking ourselves to the point of burnout, blocking our natural clarity and intuition and sending our nervous system into overdrive. Feeling lost, confused or foggy is not necessarily a signal that you won’t know what to do with time – these feelings are simply a signal that it is time to surrender to rest, trusting that clarity comes when we release the pressure of our mind.
Our minds need rest to function at their best. When your brain is properly rested, it actually makes fewer mistakes, can process & syntheize things better, and better identify patterns.
So if you’re feeling a lack of clarity and trying to think your way out of it, this is your call to drop back into your body.

Rest isn’t about being ‘lazy’ or quitting – it’s an act of repairing and restoring our nervous system. When we actually allow ourselves the time and space to regulate, clarity naturally shows up.
If you’re stuck in your headspace, with your brain running amok, I’m reminding you that none of us are meant to make decisions from this space. Instead, we each have a unique, aligned way of making decisions by attuning to our bodies’ energy and using human design.

We have an image of ‘rest’ as sitting in a bubble bath, taking a spa day, or going on vacation. But rest is in the little moments, too. Rest can look like…

Clarity always seems to come the moment you truly stop thinking about something. At least that’s how it is for my clients and me.
When I find myself overthinking something when really my body is calling for rest, and I surrender to that rest fully, not ‘guilting’ or ‘shoulding’ myself, I am rewarded with the lightning bolt of clarity.
Clarity also comes in unexpected moments when you are deeply surrendered, like going for a walk in nature, having a conversation with a friend, or taking a hot shower.
Clarity cannot be chased… only received.
Slowing down doesn’t mean you will miss out on what is meant for you… It allows you to recalibrate. Deeply understanding who you are and how you are specifically designed to energetically function and make decisions is a total game-changer. When I started really living attuned to myself as a Projector, clarity became so mcuh stronger. Explore your unique design with my free guide.

P.S. As a soul’s purpose coach, clarity is my middle name! If, even with rest, clarity isn’t coming for you, be sure to book a session with me.
